About us
Our business is part of the Corilla Group, comprising several brands including Corilla Marine, Corilla Environmental Solutions, Dragon Building Products and ned&fred.
We have been producing rotationally moulded plastic products for more than forty years. During that time, we’ve produced products for some very well-known companies, including Fiat, Caterpillar and Land Rover.
When it comes to manufacturing rotationally moulded products, we know what we’re talking about! But, there’s much more to manufacturing than just the manufacturing. And that’s why at Corilla Plastics we don’t just make things – we make things happen.
Behind every product and every machine is a team of experienced and committed people that supports our customers at every stage of their product’s development. So, between sketching out the initial concept to it coming out of the mould, you can expect to work with the most skilled designers and engineers in the business.
We believe this way of working makes doing business a more rewarding and enjoyable experience, for us and our customers. So if you’re looking for a rotational moulding company with bags of experience, an eye for quality and a desire to provide our customers with fantastic service, then contact us now and we’ll be happy to help.
Our head office and main facilities are located in the heart of the Garw Valley in the former pit village of Pontycymer, Bridgend.
The surroundings are those of a typical South Wales valley with joyous countryside for miles around and buildings that are a reminder of the coal industry that once fuelled the area.
Inside our factory, you’ll discover an entirely different industry hard at work. Our state-of-the-art plastic moulding machinery and resources are some of the best and most diverse you’ll find.
From our in house CAD designers that can provide 3D overviews of products well before they’ve gone into production, to our range of 1.2 to 3 metre moulding machines, the scale of our capabilities is vast.
To become a more effective and responsible organisation, we’re constantly making improvements to the efficiency of our operations, including our philosophy of ‘just-in-time’ manufacturing.
In line with that way of working, we have a detailed production process that extends from procurement to product delivery. That process is driven by supplying what is needed, when it is needed and in the right quantities. This allows us to promise customers that they’ll always receive their orders on-time and in-full. In turn, we eliminate waste, inconsistencies, and unnecessary requirements to become a more productive organisation – it’s a win-win!
Our mission at Corilla Plastics is to revolutionise the plastics rotational moulding industry by delivering innovative, high-quality, and sustainable solutions. We strive to consistently exceed our customers’ expectations through precision engineering, environmental responsibility and a steadfast commitment to quality assurance. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and embracing cutting-edge technology, we aim to be the premier partner for our clients, providing them with proven, first-class products that drive their success while contributing positively to the greater community and environment.
What we do is often a process that requires patience, thought and a willingness to go beyond the expected. And because we work so closely with our customers, it’s one that demands a special type of character that can turn challenges into positive experiences for all involved.
These characteristics make our people our most valuable asset and, as an investor in people, we’re proactive about their individual and collective development.
As part of that commitment, we invest in regular training to ensure that each individual is kept up to date with the latest methods and best practices in their respective disciplines. We also work with partners such as Cardiff University and Toyota on initiatives to improve how we operate. The latter relationship is part a knowledge sharing network that the ultra-efficient Japanese car giant operates to help organisations reduce waste, from time to materials. This programme is helping each individual learn how to prioritize tasks, organise their time and even their workspaces better, and in turn is making them more effective at what they do.
