Our new foam filling machine

As part of the continued investment in building a sustainable and cutting edge rotational moulding business, we’re pleased to announce the purchase of a new foam filling machine. The machine is built by Italian Polyurethane machinery specialists OMS Group. Quite literally, we’ve bought the Ferrari of foam filling machines.

The new machine can inject up to 60kg of foam per second, allowing us to manufacture more rapidly to ensure we meet demanding customer deadlines.  It will give us the ability to inject rotomoulded products with polyurethane, forming low density rigid foam.

Our sister business, Corilla Marine, manufactures navigation and mooring buoys and the foam filling machine will be used to fill the buoys, providing a lightweight, buoyant and crush resistant filling, perfect for our plastic buoys.

The machine will also provide us with the opportunity to broaden the type of products we manufacture. For example the insulation properties of low density rigid foam are excellent, meaning that we could turn our focus to developing products that require insulating properties – roof panels, cold storage boxes or luxury hutches and kennels!
